John Young: I was born and raised on a sheep and cattle property in NSW, Australia and became interested in all wildlife at the age of 5. My greatest achievement during my career of being a strong conservationist was the Re-Discovery of the mythical Night Parrot on the 26th May 2013. I have been involved in numerous conservation projects. such as I designed the Tyto Wetlands, played part in protecting old growth forest in Eden, helped protect large tracts of forest for the rare Mahogany Glider, helped stop logging around Iron Range National Park, I helped stop the use of a toxic rat bait called "Klerat" that was killing hundreds of owls. I have worked on numerous books with Dr David Hollands, Cliff and Dawn Frith, Lloyd Nielsen and many others. I was also a cameraman for many TV Networks and current affairs programs to just mention a small few. Conservation is my continued aim. John Young.
